Somewhere in Maryland tonight, a family is counting the days on a shut-off notice while an oxygen concentrator hums in the next room. Your gift is what stands between that notice and the dark.

Where your gift goes
State assistance is powerful, but it's slow, capped, and doesn't reach everyone. Donations fund the part of this work that keeps people safe in the meantime.
When a medically vulnerable household is days from shut-off and the state grant hasn't posted yet, a direct payment toward the balance keeps the power on now.
Training, tools, and coordination for the program volunteers who call people back, build their cases, and stay with them until the power is secure.
Keeping our assistance guide current and getting it in front of the Maryland families searching for help at 2 a.m., so they find real answers instead of dead ends.

Of your gift reaches the mission

This program was a true lifeline. We depend on medical equipment at home, and Utility Advisor made sure our power stayed on.

Other ways to help
Sponsor a season of emergency relief, or underwrite the assistance guide. Call (443) 222-1221 and ask for the Executive Director.
Our callbacks are answered by trained program volunteers. If you're patient, organized, and good on the phone, we'd like to talk.
Know someone behind on their bill, or a caregiver whose patient is on home oxygen? Send them utilityadvisor.org/help. It's free, and it might be the most useful thing you forward this year.
